Over the past two weeks, Turkish merchant bar producers have cut their official domestic merchant bar prices by TRY 100-450/mt ($5-15/mt) amid the ongoing currency fluctuations and sluggish demand. In the Iskenderun region, one mill is offering its equal angles at TRY 21,000/mt ($594/mt) ex-works.
Most merchant bar sellers are offering either for deliveries in late January-February or from stocks, depending on the size. A few re-rollers are also offering their HEA/HEB (550-700 mm, standard) at TRY 27,000/mt ($764/mt) ex-works, for delivery to the Osmaniye region, stable in the local currency.
