Over the past week, most Turkish merchant bar re-rollers have raised their official export prices by $10/mt to $590-620/mt FOB ahead of the Christmas and New Year holiday season. Currently, official ex-Turkey equal angle offers are standing at $590-620/mt FOB, for January-early February shipment amid the relatively positive sentiments in the import scrap and billet segments.

The SteelOrbis daily Turkish import billet reference price stands at $460-490/mt CFR, versus $455-500/mt CFR last week.

Most international buyers are postponing their new purchases until the start of next year, while a few inquiries for small tonnages are heard from the Balkan region, in particular from Albania and Kosovo.
