Demand in the local Turkish rebar market has been at low levels due to the sluggishness in the Turkish construction sector, political uncertainties, economic problems and Ramadan. Buyers continue to conclude purchases only in line with their daily needs in case domestic rebar prices fall further.

Today, Turkish mill Icdas has decreased its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 20/mt to TRY 2,830/mt ($471/mt) ex-works, while Izmir Demir Celik has reduced its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 25/mt to TRY 2,814/mt ($468/mt) ex-works, both excluding VAT.
