According to market sources, demand for import rebar has been increasing in the Kuwaiti market. The latest import transaction heard in Kuwait was an ex-Turkey deal for 55,000 mt of rebar concluded at $580-585/mt CFR for August shipment. Over the past week, Turkish rebar offers to Kuwait have increased by $5-10/mt to $585-590/mt CFR. Market sources state that demand for Turkish rebar has increased in Kuwaiti market. In 2013 Turkish rebar exports to Kuwait totaled 59,029 mt, while Turkish rebar exports to the country in the first half of the current year amounted to 45,021 mt.
