Local Bulgarian long steel prices have been adjusted upwards, following firmer demand.
Currently, domestic rebar prices in Bulgaria are at BGN 860-875/mt (€440-447/mt) CPT, up by BGN 10-15/mt (€5-7/mt). The price range is valid for local traders’ offers either from stocks or for October deliveries.
In the wire rod segment, Bulgaria’s domestic prices have increased by BGN 20-30/mt (€10-15/mt) to BGN 910-920 (€465-470/mt) CPT.
The price range for merchant bars is now at BGN 960-1,020 (€491-522/mt) CPT after a decrease of BGN 40/mt (€20/mt) just on the lower end.
In the import segment, Turkish rebar has been on offer to Bulgaria at $445/mt (€380/mt) FOB or at €390/mt CFR for late November shipment, SteelOrbis has learned. Turkish wire rod offers to Bulgaria are at $510/mt FOB for mesh grade and $520/mt FOB for the drawing quality. These prices are equal to around €445-455/mt CFR Bulgaria, for shipment the first half of December. Turkey’s equal angle and flat bar offers are at $490-505/mt (€420-430/mt) FOB or close to €430-440/mt CFR, for December shipment.
