Bangladesh domestic rebar prices trend down

On August 10, SteelOrbis reported that domestic rebar prices in the Bangladesh market softened to BDT 58,500-59,200/mt ($693-701/mt) ex-works Dhaka excluding additional regional taxes.

Sources close to the market inform SteelOrbis that through the month of August prices continued the downward trend and prices on domestic rebar are now reportedly at BDT 56,800-57,500/mt ($677-686/mt) ex-works Dhaka excluding additional regional taxes. Compared to a month ago, prices declined $16/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $15/mt from the top of the same range. Source noted that the price was from medium-sized mills and approximately a standard of 10-12 mm rebar.
