Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) has issued its steel sales prices for March shipment. The details are as follows (all comparisons being with February prices):
1. Hot rolled coil (HRC)
Prices of HRC have decreased by RMB 150/mt ($24/mt). As a result, 3.0 mm x 1,250 mm SPHC HRC is priced at RMB 2,950/mt ($473/mt), 2.75 mm x 1,250 mm Q235 HRC is priced at RMB 2,960/mt ($474/mt) and 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm Q235 HRC costs RMB 2,920/mt ($468/mt).
2. Wire rod
Prices of high-strength and cold heading wire rod have decreased by RMB 200/mt ($32/mt), while prices of other products have decreased by RMB 100/mt ($16/mt).
3. Rolled plates
1). All product prices have decreased by RMB 150/mt ($24/mt).
Currently, 14-40 mm Q235 medium plates are priced at RMB 3,120/mt ($50/mt), while 14-40 mm Q345 low alloy plates are priced at RMB 3,230/mt ($518/mt).
2). A discount of RMB 85.47/mt ($13/mt) is given for orders placed in February for wear-resistant and high-strength welded steel.
4. Hot rolled pickled coil
Prices of SPHC, SPHD, SPHE, SS400 and St 37-2 have decreased by RMB 100/mt ($16/mt), while prices of other grades have remained stable.
5. Prices of section steel, cold rolled coil (CRC), hot dip galvanized (HDG) products,
electro-galvanized products, pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) and non-grain-oriented (NGO) silicon steel have remained unchanged.
As a result, 1.0 mm Q195 cold rolled coil is priced at RMB 3,790/mt ($607/mt), while the price of 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C Q195 cold rolled coil is at RMB 3,790/mt ($607/mt).
The price of 1.0 mm DX51D+Z hot dip galvanized coil is at RMB 4,550/mt ($729/mt), while the price of 0.45 mm TDC51D+Z PPGI coil is at RMB 5,880/mt ($942/mt).
All prices are ex-works, excluding 17 percent VAT, and are effective immediately.
