During the given week, semi-finished steel prices in China have softened, exerting a negative impact on the domestic finished steel market. Meanwhile, the ferrous metal futures market in China has mostly moved on a downward trend, also weakening the support for domestic steel plate prices. Market players have mostly been maintaining a wait-and-see stance as regards the future trend of the market. However, some rebounds seen in ferrous metal futures prices in China at the end of the past week may provide support for domestic steel plate prices. It is expected that steel plate prices in the Chinese domestic market will likely move sideways in the coming week.
