Brazilian flats steelmaker Usiminas confirmed on Wednesday it will raise flat steel prices by 10.2 percent in the beginning of October.
The price hike will be effective on October 5 for HRC, CRC and coated steel products, including HDG and electro-galvanized steel.
“The (price) readjustment follows a recent appreciation of steel (prices) in the international market and aims to balance (steel) prices in Brazil and worldwide,” Usiminas told SteelOrbis on Wednesday.
