During the past week, demand in the local Turkish pre-painted galvanized (PPGI) coil market has been at decent levels and prices have remained stable. According to market sources, buyers continue to conclude purchases and, in the event of a further increase in hot rolled coil (HRC) prices, Turkish mills are likely to increase their PPGI prices as well.

Turkish domestic PPGI prices have remained unchanged week on week, with RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI prices rising to $970-1,025/mt, the price of RAL 9002 0.5 mm increasing to $820-850/mt and the price of 1 mm RAL 9002 up to $710-765/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis and exclude 18 percent VAT.

Meanwhile, in the export markets, purchases of Turkish PPGI have slowed down, while Turkish PPGI prices for the export market are still at $805-825/mt FOB.
