SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that in the Turkish market steel
plate import offers this month have remained almost unchanged as compared to last month.
Accordingly, Ukrainian steel producers
Ilyich Iron and Steel Works of Mariupol (
Ilyich) and Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works are currently offering steel
plate to
Turkey at $760-770/mt CFR.
On the other hand, steel
plate offers to
Turkey from Bulgarian steel producer Stomana are at €580-590/mt ($800-814/mt) CFR. However, it is reported that some transactions have been concluded at lower prices.
In the Turkish domestic market, integrated steel producer
Erdemir is offering steel
plate to the local market at about $800/mt ex-works, depending on order size.
