SSAB follows Nucor in raising US plate prices

SSAB today announced they'll be raising US domestic plate base prices by $7.50-$10.00 cwt. ($165-$220/mt or $150-$200/nt), effective immediately.  The move comes less than a week after a similar announcement by Nucor, which stated Nucor Plate Mill Group would be raising base pricing for steel plate by at least $6-8 cwt. ($132-$176/mt or $120-$160/nt), also effective immediately.
