In Romania, the sole domestic flats producer has maintained its prices unchanged even though domestic demand has remained rather limited. However, some local traders have inched up their retail flats prices, aiming to avoid further losses resulting from aggressive price policies.

Currently, prices for domestic origin hot rolled coil (HRC) in Romania have remained unchanged at €690/mt ex-works. On the other hand, traders' pricing for hot rolled sheets have increased by €15/mt on the upper end of the range to €835-885/mt ex-warehouse. Meanwhile, in the import segment, according to sources, ex-Bulgaria HRS has been available at €810/mt CPT Brasov.

On the other hand, domestic prices for cold rolled coil (CRC) in Romania are the same as last week at €830/mt ex-works. Moreover, achievable prices for cold rolled sheets (CRS) are presently at €990-1,070/mt ex-warehouse, up by €50/mt from last week.

Furthermore, in the coated steel segment, domestic market offers for HDG and PPGI have remained stable from the previous week, with HDG prices at €880/mt ex-works and PPGI at €1,210/mt ex-works.
