According to market sources, domestic producers’ prices in the local Italian heavy plate market are at €430-440/mt ($470-480/mt) ex-works. Meanwhile, demand from downstream users is very weak, while deals have been concluded by some distributors who have chosen to build up some stocks in view of the possible consequences of the antidumping cases in Europe regarding imports of heavy plates.
