Latest situation in local European HRC market

Over the past week, prices in the European hot rolled coil (HRC) market have remained stable at €420-440/mt ($475-498/mt) ex-works, according to market sources. Demand for domestic HRC in the European market has increased slightly week on week as buyers prefer to meet their needs from the domestic market instead of making import HRC bookings due to ongoing antidumping investigations against HRC imports and long lead times. However, demand is still on the weak side due to the stagnancy of the summer period.
