Inventory replenishments in Italian coated steel market

The Italian coated flat steel market has witnessed some increase in market activity in March, mostly due to inventory replenishments.
 
Although anti dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations regarding organic coated steel plate imports originating from China conducted by the European Commission (EC) have not been completed yet, Italian buyers have preferred other import sources than China, and pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) transactions have been concluded from India.
 
In the Italian domestic market, prices for 100 gr/m² zinc coated RAL 9001 PPGI of 0.6 mm thickness are standing at €880/mt ($1,170/mt), ex-works, while Indian 0.6 mm PPGI offers to Italy are standing at €780/mt ($1,037/mt) CFR
