SteelOrbis has been informed that demand for import plate in the Turkish market has remained slack over the past three months, while import prices have continued to trend down. Turkish buyers are still putting pressure on import plate offers, just as they are doing for import hot rolled coil (HRC) offers.

According to market sources, Macedonian hot rolled plate offers to Turkey have declined by $10/mt over the past month to the range of $550-560/mt CFR, for December shipment.

On the other hand, Ukrainian shipbuilding plate offers to Turkey have also decreased by $30/mt over the same period to $350-360/mt CFR, for January shipment.
