Demand for import plate in the Turkish market has improved further during the past two weeks and is starting to reach medium levels.
According to market sources, Macedonian hot rolled plate offers to Turkey have decreased by $10/mt over the past two weeks to the range of $520-530/mt CFR, for March shipment, due to downward pressure from Turkish buyers.
On the other hand, Ukrainian shipbuilding plate offers to Turkey have remained stable over the same period at $310-315/mt CFR, for April shipment.
