Import flat steel prices in Turkey remain stable

Over the past week, demand for import flat steel in Turkey has remained slack. Currently, Turkish buyers are in no rush to make new bookings as their inventories are at sufficient levels, and so they are just monitoring the global market instead. Amid the summer season, Turkey’s demand for import flat steel is not expected to revive in the short term.

Under these circumstances, ex-CIS flat offers to Turkey have remained stable week on week, with hot rolled coil (HRC) offers still being at $580-610/mt CFR and cold rolled coil offers standing at $625-650/mt CFR.
