UAE-based suppliers of hot dip galvanized (HDG) coils have again revised their prices upwards, citing increased prices for feedstock. Meanwhile, import HDG offers, on the contrary, have decreased in the past month and have consequently been attracting some more demand.

Accordingly, Al-Ghurair Iron and Steel, a key local re-roller, has increased its offers for 1 mm Z275 HDG coils by $20/mt over the past month to $720-730/mt ex-works. The material is available for August shipment. HDG coils with the same specification produced by India’s JSW are at $680-690/mt CFR, down $10-20/mt over the past month, while material produced by other Indian mills is even traded at $620-630/mt CFR. The most recent ex-China HDG offers have been voiced at $580-590/mt CFR, SteelOrbis has learned.
