UAE-based hot dip galvanized (HDG) mills have announced prices for April shipment coils, increasing them by up to $50/mt compared to the levels seen last month. One of the main supportive factors is the sufficient demand coming from the end-user side.
Local producer Al Ghurair Iron and Steel has set its price for its 1 mm Z275 HDG coils at $800/mt ex-works, while another UAE-based manufacturer United Iron & Steel Company is quoting the same product specification at $790/mt ex-works. The coils are available for April shipments.
In the import segment, offers for 1 mm Z 275 HDG produced by Indian JSW have been voiced at $765-770/mt CFR, with some deals concluded at $760/mt CFR recently, SteelOrbis has learned.
