Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC exports with their South American clients in a reference price of $950/mt, against $900/mt three weeks ago, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades.
In June, Brazil exported 88,800 mt and imported 20,800 mt of HRC, against respectively 126,200 mt and 3,200 mt in May.
The destinations of the exports were Europe (84,100 mt at $867/mt), South America (2,900 mt at $875/mt) and the United Arab Emirates (1,800 mt at $766/mt), all FOB conditions and price deals probably closed in May. The exporters were CSN (61,300 mt), ArcelorMittal (26,800 mt) and Usiminas (700 mt).
The imports came from China (20,200 mt at $858/mt), South Korea (300 mt at $796/mt) and the US (300 mt at $1,111/mt) also FOB conditions.
In the Brazilian domestic market, HRC of the basic commercial grades are sold, in medium to high volumes by steel producers, at BRL 6,200/mt ($1,190/mt), against BRL 6,000/mt three weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.
