According to market sources, prices in the local Italian heavy plate market have increased by €25-30/mt since early November to €500/mt ($525/mt) ex-works. Meanwhile, no new deals have been closed yet at this price level. The most recent heavy metal plate deals in the local Italian market were concluded for December shipments at €480/mt ($504/mt) ex-works, but there is no longer any availability because producers are overbooked until January.
