While flat steel offers from offshore sources to the UAE have not changed, demand in the UAE market has remained slack this week. It is reported that buyers in the UAE are only concluding deals within the scope of meeting their urgent needs as they are anticipating that import offers will decline.

Hot rolled coil (HRC) import offers to the UAE are standing at $655/mt CFR, while hot rolled plate (HRP) offers are still at $700/mt CFR, both for June shipments.
