Even though ex-Europe steel plate offers to the local Turkish market have remained unchanged as compared to last month, European plate offers to Turkey are now considered to be on the high side as the euro has strengthened this week against the US dollar. Meanwhile, Italian ex-stock plate offers to Turkey are at €540-545/mt ($718-725/mt) CFR.

On the other hand, Turkish steel producer Erdemir's plate offers to its domestic market are at $760/mt ex-works, though SteelOrbis has heard that deals may be concluded at up to $20/mt below this price level.

In addition, the Bulgarian producer Stomana's plate offers to Turkey are standing at €560/mt ($745/mt) CFR, while Macedonian producer Makstil is offering plates to Turkey at $820/mt CFR.
