SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that HRC export offers from India are standing at $680/mt FOB for May shipments, while HRP offers of Indian origin are standing at $700-710/mt FOB.
Last week, Indian producers concluded deals with Europe at the level of €555/mt ($738/mt) CFR, while the new HRC export offers of the Indian producers are at $680/mt FOB. However, producers in India prefer to conclude transactions in the local market rather than export, as domestic demand is better than overseas demand.
