With the approach of Ramadan, hot rolled coil (HRC) import offers to the Omani market have softened by $5/mt, while demand in the country has not fallen below medium levels as traders are still building up stocks for the period after Ramadan. Meanwhile, demand is foreseen to show a significant slowdown during Ramadan.
SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that CIS and Indian origin HRC import offers to Oman are now standing at $610-620/mt CFR, while offers from Europe are at about $625/mt CFR, both for advance payments and August rolling.
