CRC imports in Brazil are negotiated in average at $680/mt, CFR conditions, against $710/mt two weeks ago, according to sources.
In the Brazilian domestic market, CRC of the basic commercial grades is offered in medium to large volumes by the producers at BRL 6,180/mt ($1,062/mt) against BRL 6,300/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI.
According to the foreign trade authority, SECEX, in February, Brazil exported 16,200 mt and imported 34,300 mt of CRC against respectively 2,800 mt and 31,100 mt in January.
In February, CSN shipped 13,200 mt of CRC at $876/mt to the US, Usiminas 2,200 mt at $1,090/mt to South American countries and ArcelorMittal 800 mt at $750/mt, also to South American countries.
The imports were from China (27,500 mt at $594/mt), South Korea (6,400 mt at $704/mt), Sweden (300 mt at $727/mt), and Portugal (100 mt at $856/mt), also FOB conditions.
