SteelOrbis has been informed that Chinese commercial grade plate offers for the UAE stand at the level of $1,180/mt CFR for late July/early August shipments. Meanwhile, the latest ex-China HRC booking in the UAE was concluded at the level of $990/mt CFR for end of June/early July shipments.
With the increase seen in the offer levels from Russia and Ukraine, the buyers in the UAE have started to purchase materials from China. The latest offers ex-Ukrainian mill Zaporizhstal are at the level of $950-960/mt FOB. There are also ex-Thailand offers for the UAE, with the latest bookings for HRC of 1.2 mm thickness concluded at $1,180/mt CFR UAE. Increases are also being registered in the availability of ex-Vietnam offers.
