During the week ending July 24, average CRC prices in the Chinese domestic market have edged up slightly, with transaction activity in the overall market being at low-to-medium levels. Average cold rolled product prices in the local Chinese market are presented in the following table.
During the given week, Chinese producers’ outputs of CRC have decreased, providing support for domestic CRC prices, while the demand from downstream users has not seen any improvement. However, market players expect to see better demand in late August and September. It is expected that CRC prices in the Chinese domestic market will move up in the coming week.
