Major Chinese steelmaker
Baosteel has issued its prices for steel
plate for delivery in August. The details are as follows (comparisons are with July delivery prices):
1. Prices of ordinary
plate, boiler
plate and container
plate are down $32/mt.
2. The price of shipbuilding
plate is down $42/mt.
Accordingly, the price of Q235A14 20 mm
plate has declined to $588/mt, the new price of Q345A14 20 mm low-alloy
plate is at $613/mt, the price of Q245R14 20 mm boiler
plate is now at $613/mt, the price of Q345R14 20 mm boiler
plate has declined to $637/mt, while the price of CCSA14 20 mm shipbuilding
plate is now at $629/mt.
All the above price changes are effective for deliveries from August 1 of the current year and exclude 17 percent VAT
