Prices have increased by $10-30/mt compared to last week in the Turkish coated steel market. Market sources state that new levels have not been accepted yet but most of the producers have small available allocation for November. "Prices are strong for hot rolled coils and scrap, we have high raw material costs at the moment. We are offering now November - December production but we have only limited capacities for November," a producer told SteelOrbis.
"Buyers are trying to create pressure on prices but we have high raw material costs and we already have sold most of the November production like many other producers," another producer told SteelOrbis. Now workable prices are $690-700/mt for HDG and $800/mt for PPGI in the market. Lower levels are not acceptable by sellers
On the export side demand is better and prices have increased $20/mt compared to last week.
