West Chester, Ohio-based AK Steel announced Monday that it has advised its customers that a $350 per net ton (nt) surcharge will be added to invoices for electrical steel products shipped in February 2011.
AK Steel's surcharges are based on reported prices for raw materials and energy used to manufacture the products, with the December 2010 purchase cost used to determine February 2011 surcharges.
