Iran’s steel exports to reach 1.8 million tons

According to the forecasts, Iran's steel exports will reach 1.8 million tons by March on the basis of lower prices of Iranian products. It is stated that prices in international market are comparatively higher. In March-November period, Iran exported 4 million tons of steel products. In the subject period, imports have decreased significantly as prices in international market were very high. In 2003, Iran imported 7 million tons of steel products. It is also stated that steel supply in local Iranian market in eight-month period has improved by 12% against the figure recorded in March-Nov period.
