Zaporizhstal’s crude steel output down 2.6 percent in Q1

In March this year, Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal's finished steel product output decreased by 8.9 percent year on year to 265,300 mt, its pig iron production moved down by 8.5 percent to 262,300 mt, while its crude steel production decreased by 11.4 percent year on year to 298,600 mt, according to the company's preliminary results.

In the first quarter of the year, Zaporizhstal saw a 2.1 percent year-on-year decline in its finished steel product output to 829,000 mt, while its crude steel production fell by 2.6 percent year on year to 939,100 mt.
