On August 16, Jiangxi Province-based Xinyu Steel announced its latest ex-factory prices for plates. The details are as follows:
1. Common carbon plate prices have been increased by RMB 100/mt ($11/mt). After the adjustment, the new price of 12 mm Q235 is RMB 4,320/mt ($569/mt).
2. Low alloy plate prices have risen RMB 50/mt ($4.5/mt), and so the new price of 12 mm Q345 is now at RMB 4,550/mt ($599/mt).
The above prices include taxes and are effective as of August 16, 2007.
