Wuyang Steel to supply steel plate for tallest building of S. China

On October 18, major Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group announced that its subsidiary Hebei-based Wuyang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd (Wuyang Steel) will supply 3,000 mt of steel plate for the construction of the Guangzhou East Tower.

The Guangzhou East Tower, with 530 metres (1,740 feet) of height, is expexted to be the tallest building in Southern China. Moreover, construction of the other two landmark buildings in Guangzhou, Guangzhou International Finance Centre (Guangzhou West Tower) and Canton Tower (Guangzhou TV & Sight Seeing Tower), also used the high-rise building plate from Wuyang Steel. Guangzhou West Tower has used 10,000 mt and Canton Tower has used 20,000 mt.
