Wuyang Steel to supply plates for hydropower station in Laos

Henan Province-based Chinese steel mill Wuyang Steel, a subsidiary of Hebei Steel Group, has won a supply tender relating to the construction of the Nam Ngum River Hydropower Station in Laos. According to the supply contract signed by Wuyang Steel, the steelmaker is to ship a total of 2,263 mt of high strength steel plates to Laos. The contract includes the supply of 490 mt of WDB 620 high strength steel plates, which will be used to produce steel pipes for pressure diversion at the hydropower station.
