WTO approves Ukraine accession

On February 5, 2008, the General Council of the World Trade Organization (WTO) cleared Ukraine's membership of the organization by approving the package of agreements which determines the terms of the country's accession.

Ukraine has to ratify the accession agreement by July 4, 2008, and will become a full member of the WTO 30 days after the WTO Secretariat has been notified of the ratification.
