WISCO sees estimated net profit of RMB 1.5 billion in 2013

On January 6, Hubei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corp. (WISCO) announced that in 2013 it produced an estimated 39.68 million mt of crude steel, while it achieved an estimated net profit of RMB 1.5 billion ($245.9 million).

In 2012, WISCO's crude output had amounted to 36.42 million mt, while it saw an operating revenue of RMB 213.8 billion ($35.0 billion) and a net profit of RMB 1.7 billion ($278.7 million).
As for 2014, WISCO is targeting a crude steel output of 40.30 million mt, total sales revenues of RMB 218 billion ($35.7 billion) and a net profit of RMB 3 billion ($491.8 million).
