Volgograd ZTMD increases pipe production

In January-March of the current year, Volgograd ZTMD, a subsidiary of Russian steel producer ESTAR Group, produced 35,200 mt of steel pipes, up 143 percent compared to the same period of last year.


Production of special-purpose pipes, used in the refrigerating and automobile industries, increased by 58 percent year on year to 1,800 mt in Q1 2011.
In 2010, Volgograd ZTMD produced 86,600 mt of steel pipes, up 161.6 percent compared to 2009.
