Vale's iron ore exports down 0.4 percent in January-November

In November this year, Brazilian miner Vale's iron ore export volume totaled 26.8 million mt, down 12.5 percent compared to September and rising by 0.6 percent compared to November 2016, according to Brazil's National Union of the Industry of Extraction of Iron and Base Metals (Sinferbase). In the January-November period of the current year, Vale's iron ore exports decreased by 0.4 percent year on year to 299.72 million metric tons. 

Meanwhile, in November this year Vale's iron ore sales in its domestic market amounted to 1.3 million mt, increasing by 8.33 percent year on year and down by 1.51 percent month on month. In the January-November period of this year, Vale's iron ore sales in its domestic market totaled 12.84 million mt, falling by 1.3 percent as compared with the same period last year.
