US stainless pipe producers file AD petition against three countries

On Thursday, a coalition of US stainless steel pipe producers--Bristol Metals, LLC; Felker Brothers Corp.; and Outokumpu Stainless Pipe, Inc.--filed an antidumping (AD) petition against welded austenitic stainless steel pressure pipe from Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Other US producers include Alaskan Copper & Brass Co.; Marcegaglia USA Inc.; Rath Gibson; and Webco.

The petition alleges dumping margins of 15 percent to 17 percent for Malaysia; 13 percent to 15 percent for Thailand; and 70.4 percent to 71.4 percent for Vietnam.

The preliminary injury determination by International Trade Commission is anticipated on July 1, 2013.
