According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of mechanical tubing totaled 5,860 mt in August 2023, up 17.3 percent from July and up 7.6 percent from August 2022. By value, mechanical tubing exports totaled $18.7 million in August, compared to $14.4 million in the previous month and $18.3 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most mechanical tubing to Mexico in August with 3,127 mt, compared to 2,716 mt in July and 2,753 mt in August 2022. Other top destinations included Canada, with 2,227 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US mechanical tubing exports in August.
