US ITC rules that rebar imports from Taiwan injure US steel industry

Wednesday, 30 August 2017 20:24:24 (GMT+3)   |   San Diego

The United States International Trade Commission (ITC) today determined that a US industry is materially injured by reason of imports of steel concrete reinforcing bar from Taiwan that the US Department of Commerce (DOC) has determined are sold in the United States at less than fair value.

Chairman Rhonda K. Schmidtlein, Vice Chairman David S. Johanson, and Commissioners Irving A. Williamson and Meredith M. Broadbent voted in the affirmative.

As a result of the ITC’s affirmative determination, the DOC will issue an antidumping duty order on imports of this product from Taiwan.
