US ITC reaches tie vote in final ruling against stainless steel pressure pipe

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) made an affirmative injury determination Tuesday in the final phase of the antidumping (AD) investigation of welded stainless steel pressure pipe from Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The vote of the ITC was a 3-3 tie, which by law is deemed an affirmative vote.

As a result, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) will issue antidumping orders on welded austenitic stainless steel pressure pipe from Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
