According to preliminary census data from the US Department of Commerce, US imports of hot dip galvanized sheets totaled 77,457 mt in March this year, up 7.7 percent from February and down 54.1 percent from March 2025. By value, HDG imports totaled $73.42 million in March this year, compared to $70.84 million in the previous month and $197.25 million in the same month of 2025.
The US imported the most HDG from Canada in March with 44,160 mt, compared to 39,912 mt in February and 73,889 mt in March 2025. Other top sources of imported HDG in March include South Korea with 14,108 mt, Pakistan with 4,973 mt and Germany with 2,748 mt.
