According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of hot dip galvanized sheet and strip (HDG) totaled 111,850 mt in March this year, up 6.5 percent month on month and down 5.8 percent year on year. By value, HDG exports totaled $165.66 million in March 2026, compared to $152.1 million in the previous month and $170.46 million the same month in 2025.
The US shipped the most HDG to Mexico in March with 71,016 mt, compared to 67,170 mt in February and 66,475 mt in March last year. Mexico is followed by Canada, with 40,313 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US HDG exports in March.
