According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of hot dip galvanized sheet and strip (HDG) totaled 104,999 mt in February this year, down 4.6 percent month on month and down 7.3 percent year on year. By value, HDG exports totaled $152.1 million in February 2026, compared to $160.43 million in the previous month and $164.3 million the same month in 2025.
The US shipped the most HDG to Mexico in February with 67,170 mt, compared to 66,822 mt in January and 65,412 mt in February last year. Mexico is followed by Canada, with 37,455 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US HDG exports in February.
