The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced the final results of the sunset review of the countervailing duty (CVD) order on certain cold rolled steel flat products (CRC) from South Korea.

The DOC found that revocation of the countervailing duty (CVD) order on the given product from the country would be likely to lead to a continuation or recurrence of subsidies.

The final subsidy rates are at 0.27 percent for Hyundai Steel, and 0.20 percent for POSCO, both de minimis.

The DOC also rescinded this review with regard to seven other South Korean companies, including KG Dongbu Steel, for which the requests were timely withdrawn.

The countervailing duties for the country are applicable from April 11.
